Electricians

Recommended: Small or Medium Van

Electricians typically carry cable drums, consumer unit kits, conduit and hand tools. A small van (750kg payload) is usually sufficient for domestic work. For commercial jobs or first-fix on new builds, step up to a medium LWB van.

Key features to look for: Bulkhead (protects cab), load liner, roof rack option.

Plumbers

Recommended: Medium Van (LWB)

Boilers, radiators, pipe lengths and power-flush equipment add up quickly. Most plumbers find an LWB medium van (1200kg payload) is the sweet spot — big enough for a boiler replacement job, small enough for residential streets.
